Marina views are enjoyed from all rooms so there's no need to specify the request for one. They also include two bathrooms - very useful - and that balcony with views across the water. Facilities are fine, including the inviting pool. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Just across the canal are all the bars and restaurants imaginable. Relax outside in the evening, gazing over the water and listening to the music from those bars and clubs, including Sharkey's Bar; simply perfect!

There are quite a few dive and fishing 'tackle' shops nearby and you can rent snorkel and jet ski equipment, right here on the parking lot. Everything is nearby and yet the hotel is just off the busy road, so there's no traffic noise.

It doesn't take long for that initial positive vibe to disappear! Outdated stuff - and this place IS outdated - is OK, provided that everything is clean and works properly. Not the case here! There's a smell of mold throughout, carpets are stained and the place is crawling with ants and co*ckroaches.

There's no apparent housekeeping service, so you need to clear your own rubbish, make your own bed (*no fresh laundry!) and basically do everything yourself. No big deal if here for a few days but it must be a real and accelerating pain for extended stay guests.

This place seems to be on a steady decline due to the lack of any cleaning or maintenance programs. Consequently, it can only get worse. Beware, also! The areas around the pool, steps etc; can get very slippery in wet conditions.
