I want to say 1 star bc I’m Ron Roloff’s granddaughter and although 60% of this book is praising his accomplishments there’s a few pages talking about how he was headstrong, argumentative, and hard to get along with and idk prob would piss him off if he found out that someone he gave a chance in the MC world to was saying anything negative about him. I’m also jipping another star for the end where the author discusses my grandfather’s murder and mentions “the red headed child he met growing up to gun down their father” I do appreciate the chapter on the lundberg’s though, they’re often overlooked in the MC community and tbh Gorilla deserves to be remembered too. However, in reality, although this had a lot to do with the authors life experience in the MC world since so much of it was dependent on my grandfather’s life it should have been approved by my family before being published.
However, as his granddaughter, I also know it’s true lmao so.
The red headed child he met was my mother, the only red headed child Ron Roloff had. She did not gun down my grandfather. My grandfather was murdered by my uncle during a power struggle over my uncle thinking he should be entitled to more of my grandfather’s businesses.
(Spoiler Alert: we would have said no)
The first part is a little too lengthy, with a lot about the author's childhood, etc... The second act then gets into the fun stories anyone who has bought the book actually cares about, and then gets quite interesting.
