Upcoming EFCT Events (EFT for Couples) (2024)

This is a Master Class in Spanish for EFCT therapists that have completed an EFCT Externship. In this training students will have an opportunity to see taped demonstrations of 2 EFT Trainers working with highly escalated and/or highly Cognitive couples and to learn proven methods to get them back in the attachment channel so as to do transformative, deep, vulnerable work with them. The training offers several opportunities to practice the skills.

4-days training in Couple Therapy with the EFT model, in English and Serbian with Kyriaki Polychroni (EFT Greek Network) and Bojan Vukovic (CEFTS Serbia).

This is a 48 hour Advanced Core Skills taught online from 9 AM-3:30 PM Pacific Time, and all of the dates are on Fridays as follows: Module 1- May 31 & June 7; Module 2- July 12 & Aug. 30; Module 3- Sep. 20 & Oct. 25; Module 4- Nov. 8 & Nov. 22. This online Externship focused on LGBTQ+ relationships is endorsed by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Core Skills Training presents a set of four, two-day workshops and is designed to follow the EFT Externship. Core Skills offers an in-depth opportunity to develop the skills essential to the practice of EFT. Each segment includes instruction, role play, observation of video, and consultation.

This externship in EFCT contains didactic teaching about the theoretical underpinnings of the EFT model, the evidence-base for EFCT, the 3 stages and 9 steps of the EFCT model (the EFT road map), a comprehensive overview of the key EFT therapist interventions including the EFT Tango, as well as video demonstrations, small-group activities, and where possible, a live demonstration of an EFCT client session.

Clare has a focus on diversity and inclusion in her training. This means that while covering all of the required content for an Externship in EFCT, this externship looks at applying the EFT model to monogamous and non-monogamous relationships, as well as staying sensitive to cultural context and the impact of minority stress on relational dynamics.

Part 3 of 4 (Advanced Core Skills)

A four day immersion in the theory and practise of Emotionally Focused Therapy. <br /><br />This four day course is the foundation of the training required towards becoming a Certified EFT therapist and is endorsed by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).

This workshop will provide an overview of the research and theoretical models of adult attachment from the perspective of injuries to attachment bonds in romantic relationships. Time will be spent on defining ruptures to trust as a result of broken agreements between partners and on how these ruptures can be healed using EFCT. There will be opportunity for questions and discussion as well as practical, experiential exercises.
