These instructions explain how to determine the version of Chrome. Chrome is available for both Windows and Mac operating systems.
Determining the Version of Google Chrome
To determine the version of Chrome for Windows, do the following:
Launch Chrome.
Click on the 3 Vertical Dots in the upper right corner of the browser.
Scroll down to and Hover over the Help option, then click on About Google Chrome in the new menu that opens.
A new window appears that provides information about the browser. The version is located below the browser name (Figure 1).

To determine the version of Chrome for Mac, do the following:
Launch Chrome.Click onChromein upper left corner of computer screen (next to the Apple symbol).
ClickAbout Google Chrome.

Determining Chrome version on iOS and Android
Android
Open the Chrome App.
Navigate to the 3-dots in the upper-right corner.
ChooseSettings and scroll down to theAbout Chromesection.
The current version of Chrome will display at the top (See Figure 3).

Open the Chrome App.
Navigate to the 3-dots in the lower right-hand corner.
Find theGearicon labeledSettings.
Scroll to the bottom and find the section labeledGoogleChrome. Click here and the current Chrome version will be displayed (See Figure 4).

How to Get Help

Click About Google Chrome. A new window appears that provides information about the browser. The version is located below the browser name (See Figure 2).
To check your Chrome version on Android, open the app, tap on the three-dot menu button, and go to Settings > About Chrome > Application version. On iOS, you can tap the three-dot menu button and go to Settings > Google Chrome.
Find your browser type and version within the browser's toolbar. On the far right side of your toolbar, there will be three dots or lines.Click that icon and choose the “settings” option from the dropdown menu. That will take you to your settings page, where you can click on the “About” option.
Under Options, choose Allow updates (recommended).
Go to Google. Google Update. Applications. Google Chrome and repeat steps 2 and 3 to make sure auto-updates are also always allowed for Chrome browser.
